Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement Between the Warren County Library System and the Sussex County Library System

Reciprocal borrowing allows patrons from one library to borrow selected materials from another library using their library card. This agreement is between the Warren County Library System and the Sussex County Library System.

BORROWING PRIVILEGES:
A patron must have a valid library card, from his home library, and be in good standing in order to borrow material. The patron will use his library card to borrow material. A sticker with the valid year will be placed on the library card to alert the circulation staff that the patron may borrow material. It is up to the lending library to verify the eligibility of the patron. The patron must always have his library card, with a valid sticker, to borrow material.

MATERIALS THAT CAN BE BORROWED:
A patron may borrow any circulating material.

LOST MATERIAL:
The patron is responsible for paying for lost material.

POLICIES:
The policies of the lending library, not the home library, must be observed. These would include circulation periods, renewals, and fines.

REMOTE ACCESS TO DATABASES:
A patron who obtains borrowing privileges, under this agreement, will not have remote access to databases, except if the vendor allows such access.

INTERLIBRARY LOANS:
A patron must go to his home library for interlibrary loan requests.

RETURN OF MATERIAL:
Material may be returned to any library and will be sent back to the lending library by courier.

LENGTH OF AGREEMENT:
This agreement can be ended by thirty-day written notice by either the Warren County Library System or the Sussex County Library System.
