Northeast Branch Volunteer Program

The Library’s volunteers are drawn from all sections of the community. They volunteer for a range of reasons, including: for something interesting to do in retirement, a desire to contribute to society, the wish to maintain or develop skills and for social contact.

They all have one thing in common—a desire to contribute actively to the Northeast Branch Library.

The Warren County Library System volunteer program was started on July 8, 1987 at the Library Headquarters building located in Belvidere. Now that the library has expanded, each branch is responsible for its own volunteer program. Library Director, Thomas Carney and Volunteer Coordinator Richard Moore work closely with branch representatives ensuring a successful program.

Volunteers are vital to the library’s existence. Each volunteer plays an integral role by providing valuable services to assist both the staff and the public.
